Hyde Park Quarries Update: 05/12/2010

Adult Summer Softball is starting at the Quarries. One field, close to
the Mopac side, is scheduled to stay open later (on Monday nights only)
for 8 weeks. The games for those Monday nights will end at 11:30 p.m.
There are no loudspeakers and that field's lights are lower intensity.
For that late game, the field between Balcones Woods Drive residents and
the late game field will be dark. The Monday night games begin next
Monday May 17th.

Other Quarries events:

May 22- Runtex is co-sponsoring a 10K race that begins and ends at the
Hyde Park Quarries. The gate on Santa Cruz will be open for the race.
They are expecting about 200 runners. Within the Quarries area, about 750
people will participate in the "Gladiator Games" with obstacle courses and
other challenges.

July 4th - Unless something comes up, the fireworks show will return this
July 4 at the Quarries. The event will be scaled down from previous years
(ie: no food or drinks sold), and the fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
