The Austin Police Department (APD) is doing a traffice study in Balcones Woods at the request of a Balcones resident after concerns about speeding cars was voiced in the BWC newsgroup. There will be 3-4 blind studies done at various locations in the neighborhood - the exact location and timing will be withheld until after the results are known. As the studies are completed, they will be posted here. The results can be viewed by clicking on the study number below. If there is no link, the study hasn't been completed yet.
Study #1 - 11100 Alhambra Drive, June 17th - June 26th, 2009: Summary: 2089 cars, average speed was 22.7 mph.
