The Balcones Woods Blue Wave Swim Team, a member of the Austin Aquatic League, is a summer swim team open to Balcones Woods residents and employees who are younger than 19 as of June 1. Working together, our neighborhood has created one of the most successful neighborhood swim programs in the city, both in the pool and on the deck. The swim team culture that exists in this neighborhood is the envy of all our opponents. Coaches for 2008 (subject to update...):

Requirements for participation are:

• The ability to do the American crawl for 1 pool length.
• No fear of the water.
• No separation anxiety.
• Willingness to follow group direction. 

 

The first two weeks of practice are probationary for beginning swimmers. Coaches will have the final determination of a swimmer’s readiness.

 

The registration fee is $115 for one swimmer and $95 for each additional swimmer per family. Included in the registration fee (besides lots of exercise, fun, and fellowship) is a pro-quality suit, team t-shirt, team picture, and trophy.
