The BW Book Club has been in existence for 10 years in November. We conducted a BW-wide event asking neighbors to vote on their favorite books from the past 10 years. We will re-read the neighborhood's favorite for our November (10 year anniversary) meeting. We will also have a special meeting at the Club House inviting all former members and the neighborhood. All BW neighbors are invited to vote and to attend the meeting.
The original list was 120 books long. So, we broke the survey down by asking you to first vote for your favorite book by year. That survey ended September 27th, 2009. The results (2000-2009) follow the overall combined poll.. In 2001, there was a three tie - so the webmaster broke the tie by voting for Pilots Wife by Anita Shreve. In 1999, only one book was read by the club so that was automatically selected as a favorite.
The final poll, to choose the favorite of the yearly winners, was completed October 4th 2009. The overall winner was The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini. It recieved 25% of the votes. The results are as follows:
